| Daisy Mae is full of love as well as spunk! We almost lost her in her first year of life. First, to allergic reactions to her vaccines and then to a bee sting. She went into shock from both and we were so glad she decided to stay with us! |
| We got Daisy from a breeder named Dondi in Kaufman, Texas a year after we got our Nugget from her. Nugget and Daisy Mae are both long haired dachshunds and are also first cousins! She was spayed as a puppy as well. Daisy loves all people and will run up to you then roll over really fast for her favorite belly rub!
She has several nick names including : Fussy, Squid Kid, and Squiddle Pididdle. The last was what we started to call her when she was having problems with bladder stones and infections. We figured a term of endearment was better then getting upset over her problems and the staining of the carpets! |
| Daisy loves to hunt in the back yard! While she would love to catch a bunny she hasn't, yet! She is however a very good hunter when it comes to June bugs and geckos!! Nothing like that crunch!!
Daisy loves taking walks with Nugget and her newest little brother Duke who is a Papillon we adopted a few months ago. |
| The one thing that is silly about Daisy is she does not like to get her feet wet and will not walk where a sprinkler has been. She will put on the brakes until you change direction or go around the wet spot by walking along the street! Her favorite sleeping place is on my pillow curled around my head. I enjoy her being there more so in the winter than in the summer! Texas heat and all! |
And finally a few words that I think of that go with Daisy:
Fragile, Determined, Loving, Playful, and Strong Willed! Thanks so much for picking her Dog of the Month!
